Savvy1 wonders:
Wonder too what Susan and Barbara and poet and perhansa and Lefty think of pushing for impeachment.
******************
Poet thinks it would be a wonderful exercise in applied civics. This is predicated on the idea that it will never (a was the case with Clinton) succeed. Just the thought of the Congfress and Senate using thier time and energy on such a venture over teh next year and 9 months or so (God help us to endure that long!) almost makes me eager to pay federal income tax.
Poet has two signs he proudly displays on the back of his vehicle olne sayts "they lied to me, they lied to you, they lied to the troops" and the other says "Impeach Cheney First, then Gonzalez, then Bush" (I am tempted to add "the Pelos" to my list for taking impeachment "off the table"
As long as Bushco won't take immediate war or a first nuclear strike against iran "off the table" i don't think anyone should consider taking impeachment "off the table".
Poet's rant endeth--
