Houston, we have a problem. Well, Houston, Denver, LA, both Portlands, Kansas City, Atlanta, New York, Milwaukee, Little Rock, Albuquerque, etc.,etc., etc.
It seems that John McBush is a little confused. See for yourself at the above video that comes via Cliff Schechter's post at FDL.
Moreover, it seems that the MSM are reliably keeping a lid on McBush's McGaffes. So it's up to us. Share this broadly, will you? Read some more.
This is not shameless promotion for CLB. No. More and more often, it has become abundantly clear that it falls to the netroots to do the work for which the media, by and large, have abdicated responsibility. So it's up to us to get the lead out and get the word out.
Speaking from the perspective of an old fart (that would be me), I feel free to say that McOldFart is not qualified to be POTUS. He scares me. Not so much because his points of view differ vastly from mine, but because pinning down his points of view is like trying to capture a bead of mercury with your fingers.
I don't care so much that McBush is old. I'm old. David is old. All God's chillun gonna be old sometime. No. Old does not always mean incompetent. In fact, in most cases, it doesn't. Most cases. But sometimes...well, you know.
Here’s my theory. Probably not original. What is?
I think John McBush was resurrected to serve as a place-marker and sacrificial goat for the Republicans. They know that no matter how much sturm und drang they generate, their candidate is going to get creamed. In a country that basically does diddly-squat for children and the elderly (okay, and most everyone in between), it makes perfect sense that McBush is expendable. Think about it. Why sacrifice a future player? Why let a younger studly dude get beat up at the polls in November?
Of course, when McBush loses, the Republicans will gnash their teeth and wail that the Dems metaphorically crucified one of our nation’s most noble heroes. (sigh)
I do not like those people.
